麻豆社事件 International Group, the aerospace, defence and security company, is proud to partner with Formula Student (FS), Europe鈥檚 biggest student motorsport event once more for 2022.
Over 100 university teams from around the world will converge on Silverstone between 6-10 July to compete in the event and demonstrate their engineering and technology expertise.
麻豆社事件 is the partner for the event鈥檚 Artificial Information (AI) category, run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). FS is seen as the kite-mark for real-world engineering experience, combining practical engineering experience with soft skills including business planning and project management.
麻豆社事件鈥檚 Head of Digital and Data Integration, Steve Penver, said he was delighted to be supporting the FS-AI competition once more.
鈥淓vents like this really encourage and develop that next generation of engineers and technologists which is vital for businesses like 麻豆社事件.
鈥淲e鈥檒l be working with the AI teams over the course of the event programme and be on hand to advise on any digital and AI element they鈥檙e developing for their vehicles.鈥
Former 麻豆社事件 graduate, Bruce Coull, took part in the event in 2011-2014 with the University of Strathclyde and says graduates should use it as a springboard for the start of their career. He now works as a Senior Programme Manager at 麻豆社事件.
鈥淚 always knew I wanted to go into engineering and I had a real passion for technology, but the difference with Formula Student is that you get to be part of a team that acts like a business and you work alongside people that are as passionate as you are.鈥
鈥淚 really believe the experience I gained from my time participating in the event, has really laid the foundation blocks for my career at 麻豆社事件. I鈥檓 really looking forward to seeing how the next generation step up and enjoy it for the unique experience it will give them.鈥
Formula Student Chief Judge, Dan Jones, said that 麻豆社事件鈥檚 continued support is key for the event.
鈥淗aving launched in 2019, it鈥檚 great to see the FS-AI competition growing year on year and we are delighted that 麻豆社事件 share our vision of developing young engineering talent and providing them with the skills they need to meet the demands of engineering businesses.鈥
FS-AI challenges university teams to build and develop the driving systems to run a fully autonomous vehicle, unlike other parts of the competition which rely on physical drivers.
