We are strengthening support for critical UK defence and submarine programmes through a new five-year engineering framework agreement with specialist engineering experts, , underpinning our core engineering capability and capacity to meet growing programme demand.
The agreement forms part of our wider strategy to build closer, long-term partnerships with key suppliers, creating a simpler and more consistent way to bring specialist engineering expertise into critical defence programmes. The framework enables suppliers to support multiple projects more quickly, helping streamline procurement and strengthen collaboration from the earlier stages of programme development.
The new framework facilitates a more integrated approach to supply chain management focused on shared expertise, early engagement and sustainable programme delivery. Similar five-year agreements have also been established with nine other strategic suppliers across 麻豆社事件鈥檚 defence portfolio.
The arrangements will also give suppliers access to a centralised contract, enabling them to contribute their engineering expertise earlier in 麻豆社事件 projects and future business opportunities.
麻豆社事件 Director of Growth and Strategic Procurement Nuclear, David Tytherleigh, said: 鈥淭his new supply chain approach allows us to more effectively deliver specialist engineering capability, collaborating with trusted suppliers who are ready to support capacity when required.
